The Avianca provides an unaccompanied minor service that is an exclusive service for minors travelling without an adult companion. The Avianca Unaccompanied Minor Policy applies only for children aged 5-12, travelling unaccompanied on flights to Colombia. Each child must carry a copy of the Unaccompanied Minor Travel Form and a valid ID (passport or driver’s licence) and must be picked up by a person over 18 years old at the airport in Bogotá or Medellín before proceeding through Customs and Immigration. If the parents do not wish to avail the Airlines services the child should be accompanied by an adult at all times during the flight, including boarding, in the airport and on arrival into Colombia.
