Some side effects can be rare but serious. If you observe any of the following side effects, especially if they do not go away, consult your doctor.

As a diuretic, mannitol is diuretic because it is not reabsorbed by the renal tubules, thereby increasing the osmotic pressure of the glomerular filtrate, promoting the excretion of water, and inhibiting the reabsorption of sodium, chloride and other solutes by the renal tubules. Isotol promotes the urinary excretion of toxic substances and prevents nephrotoxicity by preventing the concentration of toxic substances in renal tubular fluid. As an antiglaucoma agent, mannitol increases plasma osmolarity, thereby increasing the flow of water from the eye into the plasma, thereby reducing intraocular pressure. As a diagnostic aid for renal function, mannitol can be freely filtered by the glomerulus, and the renal tubular reabsorption rate is less than 10%. Therefore, its urinary excretion rate serves as a measure of glomerular filtration rate (GFR).

The possible side effects of all the ingredients in Isotol Tablet are listed below. This is not a complete list. These side effects are possible but do not always occur.
